Job Summary
Supervisor for Afterschool Program Projects oversees and coordinates the district's afterschool initiatives, directs signature programs such as the 5000 Role Models of Excellence, and is responsible for securing outside district funding through grants and donations (minimum of $50,000 per fiscal year). The role includes supervising staff, delivering in-service training, maintaining program information on district web pages, monitoring mentoring and nighttime programs, maintaining participation statistics, analyzing district-wide data to drive improvement, preparing annual budget estimates, and fostering collaboration with principals, staff, and community partners. The incumbent will work outside of normal hours, including Saturdays, and will lead and evaluate program initiatives to align with the district's prevention and intervention goals.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- Three (3) years experience in department or program management
- Five (5) years experience in a community relations capacity that includes involvement in enrichment programs, development of community partnerships, and/or volunteer activities
- One (1) year experience in pre-employment or pre-volunteer screening
