Job Summary
Supervises and coordinates the cash application processes of UNM Medical Group, Inc.'s medical and pharmacy payment systems, and provides input into operating policies for the unit. Oversees daily unit operations, personnel supervision, training, performance evaluation, and enforcement of internal procedures. Manages daily deposits and EDI file imports to facilitate automated posting and manual posting of non-EDI deposits, and ensures accurate posting of insurance and patient payments in accordance with payor requirements. Responds to customer inquiries regarding financial assistance and monitors communications from internal and external sources. Requires healthcare experience and supervisory experience to lead a detailed revenue cycle function within a remote role based in New Mexico.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 3 years of directly related work experience in a medical environment
- Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience directly related to duties
- Experience in cash applications in a healthcare setting
- Ability to relocate to New Mexico or reside there if currently living in NM
- Substitution of completed degree for experience on a year-for-year basis is allowed per policy
