Job Summary
Accounting Supervisor in a healthcare system: Oversees day-to-day accounting operations, supervises accounting staff, ensures GAAP compliance and internal controls, supports month-end close, and collaborates with finance leadership to produce accurate financial statements and regulatory filings. Leads journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting, coordinates with cross-functional teams (revenue cycle, payroll, supply chain, operations) to resolve issues, assists audits, and drives process improvements and onboarding of new systems. Emphasizes leadership, coaching, and performance management of staff to maintain efficient accounting practices across clinical and non-clinical entities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (Required)
- 1 year of supervisory experience (Required)
- 5 years of related experience (Required)
- Experience with client server based financial systems (Preferred)
- Healthcare and/or public accounting experience (Preferred)
- Certified Professional Accountant (CPA) (Preferred but not required)
