Job Summary

Supervise all team accounting efforts, including processing, auditing, and continuous process improvement initiatives for the general ledger. Analyze and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure proper classification and integrity, while overseeing preparation of management reports. Ensure internal controls and procedures are followed for Sarbanes Oxley compliance, and maintain regular communication with business units to resolve complex accounting issues and identify changes in business practices. Provide professional support to associates by identifying training needs and approving development plans.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience in travel and expense management, corporate accounting, or finance shared services
  • 1–2 years of supervisory experience
  • General Experience - 3 to 6 years
  • Manager Experience - 13 months to 3 years
  • SIE is required provided that an exemption or grandfathering cannot be applied
  • Series 99, or ability to obtain within 120 days (as required by FINRA), may be required depending on assigned functional area
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
  • Securities Industry Essentials Exam (SIE)
  • Knowledge of Company's working structure, policies, mission, and strategies
  • Fundamental accounting concepts, practices, and procedures
  • General ledger systems and financial statements
  • Generally Accepted Principles of Accounting (GAAP)
  • Sarbanes Oxley compliance regulations
  • Accounting software applications
  • Principles of finance and securities industry operations
  • Skill in Using required software applications to produce correspondence, reports, electronic communication, and spreadsheets
  • Analyzing financial information
  • Performing mathematical calculations
  • Reporting accounting data and information
  • Preparing management reports
  • Interpreting and applying policies and procedures
  • Ability to Plan, assign, monitor, review, evaluate and supervise the work of others
  • Identify training needs and develop associates
  • Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with all organizational levels
  • Establish and communicate clear directions and priorities
  • Implement changes to standard procedures when required by specific situations and circumstances
  • Work independently, make non-routine decisions and resolve complex accounting problems
  • Lead meetings and contribute to team efforts by ensuring all relevant information is included in the outcomes
  • Less than 25% travel

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with corporate travel and entertainment (T&E) programs, including employee expense reimbursement processes and corporate card administration
  • Experience monitoring policy compliance, reconciliations, and reporting related to travel and expense activities
  • Previous supervisory, team lead, or people management experience, including coaching and developing associates
