Job Summary
Leadership and coordination of manufacturing, production control, maintenance, quality, materials and process engineering activities; accountability for safety, quality, delivery and cost; apply 5S and lean concepts; drive cost reductions and continuous improvement; develop and implement training, participate in cross-functional teams, monitor process and product quality, and deliver production units and service requests within timelines.
Required Qualifications
- Associates, Technical Degree or previous functional experience.
- Five years’ of supervisory experience in a fast paced complex manufacturing environment balancing competing priorities, complex situations, and tight deadlines.
- Hands-on leadership experience and a demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others.
- Solid understanding of lean material flow and the production process. Driver of lean in the organization and are a mentor to others.
- Ability to motivate people and must be viewed as a clear and credible communicator.
- Ability to work in high stress situations.
- Ability to implement improvement changes unaided.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule.
- Strong computer skills.
- Ability to organize and prioritize projects
- Must have valid driver’s license and the ability to travel.
- Job requires bending, lifting at least 50 lbs., reaching, kneeling, standing, walking, climbing, twisting, grasping, pushing, and pulling.
- Occasional exposure to chemicals, dust, machinery, weather conditions and other flammable fluids.
- Use of personal protective equipment will be required.
