Job Summary
Lead producer overseeing NIL, original and branded video content at UNC; hands-on shooting and directing; manages Learfield Studios operations on campus; collaborates with athletic department, sponsors, student-athletes, and local staff to ideate, create, and deliver a robust and innovative content slate; builds trust-driven relationships with student-athletes; drives revenue through sponsorship and sales teams; develops and refine NIL content best practices; oversees production, distribution, analytics, and content strategy; mentors on-site content team and works with internal/external partners to meet deliverables; tracks performance and delivers comprehensive recaps; ensures high-quality content delivery within budgets and timelines.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in sports or entertainment creating, writing, producing, and directing video content with 1+ year leading and managing a team
- Hands-on experience shooting and directing video
- Must provide a reel, portfolio, or website demonstrating hands-on shooting and directing experience
- Experience leading a team
- Strong communication and presentation skills, including the ability to articulate creative concepts to executive leadership
- Passion for storytelling with extensive experience driving audience engagement
- Proven experience in sports and/or entertainment environments
- Ability to independently own projects and serve as primary contact for external partners
- Background in digital, short-form, social, and influencer-driven content; narrative storytelling experience is a plus
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing multiple team members across varied projects
- Deep understanding of content production pipelines end-to-end
- Comprehensive knowledge of production equipment, lighting, cameras/lenses, audio, and post-production workflows
- Ability to write pitch materials, craft pre-production plans, and present to internal and external stakeholders
- Strong creative ideation skills aligned to project and brand objectives
- Ability to interpret creative concepts and guide execution with clarity and vision
- Thrives in a high-energy, high-profile, proactive, deadline-driven environment with strong attention to detail
- Strong administrative, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
- Proven capacity to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, constantly evolving setting
