Job Summary
Supervising Pharmacist to join Hickey's Le Fanu Pharmacy in Ballyfermot. The role requires leadership of a small team (1 Relief Pharmacist and 4 Technicians), ensuring regulatory compliance under the Pharmacy Act 2007, maintaining professional standards in the community pharmacy, participating in Health Promotion programs and Pharmaceutical Care initiatives, and supporting continued professional development. Responsibilities include proper stock control and documentation, safeguarding stock and staff, adherence to Health and Safety requirements, confidentiality of business information, and compliance with Department of Health Schemes (DPS, LTI, GMS). The role also covers supporting store retail standards (category management, merchandising, stock control) and staying up-to-date with legislation and PSI guidance. Applicants should have post-registration experience (minimum 3 years), PSP/PSI membership, and strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively or independently to deliver high-quality pharmaceutical services.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Pharmacist with the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland (PSI)
- Post-registration experience (minimum 3 years)
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to manage stock control and documentation
- Compliance with Pharmacy Act 2007 and health/safety regulations
- Participation in continuing education and CPD
- Experience with Department of Health Schemes (DPS, LTI, GMS) and reimbursement processes
- Ability to work 41 hours per week, including Saturday shifts and Sunday premium where applicable
