Job Summary
Conduct weekly client visits, carry out therapeutic treatments, and collaborate with medical staff to formulate care plans addressing medical, psychosocial, and safety needs. Instruct and assist prescribers and the nursing team on clinical techniques, train new clinic staff, and supervise professional subordinates while promoting morale. Complete required documentation, maintain client records, and assist in formulating department policies. Foster relationships with medical staff, department personnel, and community agencies to coordinate care and make referrals to maximize client health and independence. Perform supply distribution activities and prepare reports as needed. Requires a Bachelor's or Associate Degree in Nursing with supervisory experience and a New York State RN license.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Nursing
- Associate Degree in Nursing
- one (1) year of experience in professional nursing activities including supervisory experience
- two (2) years of experience in professional nursing activities
- one year of which shall have been in a supervisory position
- Any equivalent combination of training and experience as indicated in 'A' or 'B' above
- Eligibility for a license issued by the State of New York to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse
- Possession of license at the time of appointment
- degree must have been awarded by a college or university accredited by the regional, national, or specialized agency recognized as an accredited agency by the U.S. Department of Education/U.S. Secretary of Education
