Job Summary
The New York County District Attorney's Office seeks a Supervising Major Case Analyst to oversee the analytical work of analysts within the Trial Bureau and assist with officewide training efforts. Responsibilities include preparing written materials for training, identifying and reviewing evidence relevant to investigations, creating presentations, and assisting Assistant District Attorneys in developing long-term investigations. Candidates must have a bachelor's degree and several years of relevant experience, alongside strong organizational and communication skills. Familiarity with various analytical and investigative tools is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college
- Four to six years of investigative and/or analytical experience in criminal investigations, with a strong preference for prior experience working with law enforcement
Desired Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, video editing, mapping, and internet search and research capability
- Data visualization skills and data analysis presentation skills
- Command of open-source investigation tools and public record databases
- Familiarity with Adobe Premiere Pro, Windows Movie Maker, Audacity, various video player programs, Cellebrite
- Experience with mapping and geographic information system software such as Google Maps, NYCityMap, ArcGIS
- Experience with social media investigations and the gathering of electronically stored information
Additional Requirements
- Authorization to work in the United States is required for this position
- Candidates must commit to two (2) years in the division
- Current office employees must have served at least 1 year in their current unit
