Job Summary
Supervise housing attorneys through in-court supervision, individual case reviews, document analysis, and ad hoc support while maintaining a small independent caseload of housing cases. Set expectations for case strategy, litigation schedules, and administrative case management in coordination with the Assistant Director for Housing and Managing Housing Attorney. Coordinate trial dates, serve as second counsel at motions and trials, and troubleshoot case issues in housing court. Mentor staff attorneys on professional development and lead group attorney meetings on rotation. Represent clients through administrative hearings, trials, and appeals. Collaborate with department management to provide high-quality services across the Legal Department.
Required Qualifications
- JD
- NYS Bar admission
- At least 3 years of housing legal experience

- Proven mentoring skills
- Proven ability to multi-task and prioritize work
- Strong verbal and writing skills in English
- Bilingual skills in English/Spanish
