Job Summary
Plan, direct, and oversee the administration of all grant funding, including developing opportunities, application review processes, award recommendations, and fund distribution to nonprofit partners. Manage a portfolio of complex, equity-focused grant programs serving historically marginalized communities while ensuring alignment with strategic priorities, fiscal controls, and applicable City, state, and federal requirements. Develop and refine grantmaking protocols, including RFPs, technical assistance strategies, proposal evaluation frameworks, and contract execution processes. Supervise, mentor, and evaluate a team of professional analysts responsible for grant administration, fiscal oversight, and compliance monitoring. Design and oversee robust grant monitoring systems encompassing fiscal compliance, programmatic performance, and outcome reporting. Serve as a senior liaison to internal and external partners, including the Office of Contract Administration, Controller's Office, and City Attorney, representing AHR in meetings involving complex grant or compliance matters. Identify operational risks within grant administration workflows and lead the development of corrective solutions. Advise executive leadership on grant portfolio performance, compliance risk, and resource allocation strategies.
Required Qualifications
- Possession of a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university
- Seven (7) years of full-time equivalent experience performing professional level analytical work
- Qualifying professional-level analytical work includes analysis, development, administration, and reporting in major programs and functions of an organization in the areas of budgets, contracts, grants, policy, or other functional areas related to the duties of positions in the 182X Class series
