Job Summary
Supervising Family Medicine Physician at Serve the People (STP), located in Santa Ana, CA, leads clinical operations across ambulatory Family Medicine with direct patient care (acute, chronic, preventive) and protected admin time for supervising Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants. You will mentor APPs, review charts, and drive quality improvement while collaborating with onsite specialists (GI, Podiatry, Pediatrics, and future OB/GYN, Dermatology, Endocrinology). The role includes participation in Clinician Council and guiding the medical department's development, ensuring patient-centered care, adherence to protocols, and effective care delivery. Requirements include MD/DO, board certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine, 3+ years acute ambulatory experience, 2+ years in high-volume outpatient care, active DEA license, and bilingual English/Spanish medical proficiency. Salary range is $300,000–$350,000 with full-time scheduling options; schedule details include 5/8s or 4/10s with Saturday coverage. Demonstrated leadership, teamwork, and commitment to underserved communities are essential.
Required Qualifications
- MD or DO; Board Certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
- 3+ years acute ambulatory experience
- 2+ years in high-volume outpatient care
- Active Unrestricted DEA License
- Bilingual English/Spanish required (including medical terminology)
- Strong leadership, teamwork, and passion for underserved communities
