Job Summary
Plan, assign, supervise and review eligibility determinations (initial and continuing) for individuals applying for or receiving assistance payments; perform complex eligibility determinations across several program areas; conduct in-person interviews (office and field); provide information to applicants/recipients and the public about eligibility requirements; generate simple statistical reports and special analyses; supervise a technical and clerical staff and ensure adherence to policy and program guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- two years of academic study
- experience in evaluating information from interviews/applications/records
- ability to supervise staff
- ability to follow written instructions
- ability to prepare reports
- knowledge of federal and state law concerning eligibility requirements
- tactful and courteous dealing with applicants/recipients
- ability to conduct information-gathering interviews
