Job Summary
Lead and mentor the electrical design team in electrical and fire alarm system design for vertical buildings, with hands-on experience on transit projects and commercial developments. Responsibilities include providing technical guidance, team leadership, workload and quality control, managing project deliverables and schedules, and coordinating with Architecture and MEP teams. Manage client relationships and stakeholder coordination throughout all project phases; lead project and design update meetings with presentations. Requires a Licensed Professional Engineer in New York, 10+ years in a consulting engineering environment, strong knowledge of NYC/NY building codes, ABET-accredited electrical engineering degree, and proficiency with AutoCAD (REVIT a plus). LEED accreditation preferred. Onsite role based in NYC.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited program
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of New York
- 10+ years' experience
- Strong knowledge of the New York City and New York State building codes
- Experience with electrical engineering design and fire alarm systems for vertical buildings
- Hands-on experience with transit projects and commercial developments
- Leadership experience overseeing design teams and client coordination
- Latest AutoCAD experience; REVIT experience a plus
- LEED accreditation preferred
