Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, ongoing medication management, and crisis intervention for children, adolescents, and families with behavioral health challenges. Provide clinical supervision, mentorship, and documentation review for mid-level practitioners, residents, and trainees while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized treatment plans. Monitor prescribing practices, safety protocols, and clinical outcomes through chart reviews and quality improvement initiatives to ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Maintain accurate documentation and participate in case conferences and peer reviews. This role supports Liberty Resources Integrated Health Care's mission of trauma-informed, culturally responsive care within an outpatient mental health clinic setting in Syracuse, NY.
Required Qualifications
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited residency in Psychiatry and fellowship in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry
- Board Certification (or Board Eligibility with intent to certify) in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry
- Current, unrestricted license to practice medicine in New York State
- DEA registration
- At least 3 years of clinical experience in child/adolescent psychiatry, preferably in an outpatient or community mental health setting
- Strong clinical expertise in psychopharmacology and developmental psychopathology
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR), preferably NextGen or similar systems
Desired Qualifications
- Supervisory or leadership experience strongly preferred
