Supervising Attorney - Family Unit

Job Summary
The Supervising Attorney for the Family Unit will oversee litigation and advocacy, manage outreach efforts, provide mentorship to staff, and maintain relationships with community groups and local bar associations. This role requires a strong commitment to public interest law, at least 5 years of relevant legal experience, and proficiency in Texas Family Law. The attorney will conduct case reviews, manage client applications, and ensure compliance with grant requirements. Excellent communication skills and prior leadership experience are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed to practice law in Texas
- Minimum of 5 years relevant legal experience
- Strong understanding of Texas Family Law
- Strong understanding of the Texas Rules of Civil Procedure and Texas Rules of Evidence
- Demonstrated trial and advocacy skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Prior management or leadership experience preferred
- Experience coordinating community services, partners, and education
- Ability to think and plan strategically
- Strong work ethic and accountability
- Excellent attendance record
