Job Summary
Oversee day-to-day repair and overhaul operations on the day shift within high-technology engine repair departments. Motivate the workforce to achieve optimal engagement while ensuring strict adherence to health, safety, quality, on-time delivery, and productivity indicators. Assist in budget development, hiring, and managing work shift changes, while hosting and participating in meetings with other managers. Lead the team in a demanding, high-pressure environment to meet customer requirements and maintain the highest quality standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in aeronautics, business administration, or in engineering
- Minimum 4+ years of experience in supervising employees in the manufacturing sectors
- Demonstrated leadership experience
- Experience in leading and developing high performing teams, groups, projects and / or processes
- Must be quality oriented and committed to providing quality services in a demanding environment
- Ability to work independently in a high-pressure environment
- Must be organized and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Must be able to interact with various support groups
- Working knowledge of English to read and understand specialized instructions, plans, drawings and technical terms
- Ability to write and sometimes communicate in English with customers, suppliers or international colleagues
- Successful completion of a criminal background check
- Obtaining all necessary clearances with respect to the handling and transfer of controlled goods
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge and experience with aftermarket repair and inspection processes in the aviation industry
