Supermarket Refrigeration Technician

Job Summary
Diagnose, repair, and overhaul supermarket refrigeration systems, including rack systems, compressors, condensers, and controls. Service display cases, walk-in coolers/freezers, and ice machines while performing preventive maintenance to identify operational deficiencies before system failure. Test malfunctioning systems using electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills, complete service calls efficiently, and accurately document work orders. Assist with case installations, startups, and minor construction projects as needed. Safely operate a company vehicle and participate in an emergency on-call rotation. Requires EPA Certification, 3+ years of commercial refrigeration experience, and a valid driver's license.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- EPA Certification
- 3+ years of commercial refrigeration experience
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs and stand or sit for extended periods
- Willingness to participate in emergency on-call coverage
Desired Qualifications
- Trade school or vocational certification
- Strong experience in supermarkets or convenience store refrigeration
