Job Summary
Superintendent role leading low-voltage installation teams on large hyperscale data center projects. Responsible for planning daily field operations, coordinating manpower, materials, and equipment, conducting site walks, ensuring safety and quality, and serving as the on-site point of contact with clients and trade partners. Oversees installation of structured cabling infrastructure (fiber and copper), cable routing and documentation, and ensures compliance with industry standards (TIA/EIA, NEC, BICSI). Requires 7+ years in electrical installation with 3-5 years in LV supervision, strong reading of schematics, and leadership/communication skills. Experience with Procore/Bluebeam and ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Physical ability to lift up to 60 pounds and work in varied conditions. This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; technical certifications or vocational training in electrical systems, controls, or a related field highly preferred
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in electrical installation, with at least 3-5 years specifically supervising Low Voltage infrastructure projects in data center or critical facility environments
- Demonstrated expertise in conduit installation, including hand, mechanical, and hydraulic bending
- Proven experience in cable pulling, termination, and testing procedures
- Strong background in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, control diagrams, and one-line diagrams
- Experience managing multiple fast-paced projects simultaneously
- In-depth knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and relevant industry standards
- Thorough understanding of data center critical infrastructure, including mechanical and electrical systems
- Proficiency in low-voltage wiring, control circuits, and communication protocols (e.g., BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks, Ethernet/IP)
- Strong leadership, team management, and mentoring abilities
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff, clients, and subcontractors
- Proficiency with construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
