Job Summary
Provide construction management inspection for multi-trade contracts to ensure projects meet conformance with contract requirements and quality control standards. Monitor work and materials, maintain daily logs of progress and issues, and perform inspections to expedite contract execution. Supervise inspectors, identify and resolve problems, and coordinate with Regional Code and Safety Managers. Ensure timely decisions keep projects on schedule and within budget while adhering to OSHA standards and company safety policies. Manage contractor safety operations and communicate with clients, contractors, and team members across various roles.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Minimum of 9 years experience with 6 years of experience in construction involving multiple phases of large-scale building/rehabilitation projects, including supervision
- Minimum 4 years of experience as a Superintendent or Inspector on large scale, multi-contract building project
- Ability to develop and communicate a project work plan, monitor manpower and performance against that work plan, and be able to perform a detailed comparison of the design drawings against each other to ensure coordination between each of the various project trades
- Strong communications skills and a collaborative approach working with both client and construction contractor/subcontractors
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- OSHA – 30
- Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP's health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies
- Ability to work schedules conducive to project-specific requirements that may extend beyond the typical workweek
- Travel may be required
