Job Summary
Plan work methods, materials, equipment needs, and work schedules for assigned projects by reviewing daily schedules with direct reports and updating monthly plans based on feedback. Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, work crews, field engineers, and local utility companies to identify hazardous areas, ensure appropriate equipment and material quantities, and mitigate production issues through forecasting and technical recommendations. Supervise subcontractor production and workforce while enforcing strict adherence to safety protocols, process controls, and documentation requirements. Manage multiple job sites and project plans to complete production within assigned budget and schedule.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of heavy civil construction experience
- 7+ years Utilities construction management experience
- Valid Driver's License
- Strong written, verbal and presentation communication skills
- Proven ability to manage difficult schedules and project demands while maintaining strict adherence to project safety program
- Advanced knowledge of construction site equipment operation and maintenance requirements
- Advanced knowledge of construction site safety protocols and proven ability to enforce project safety programs
- Knowledge and understanding of local union or prevailing wage rules
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret standards and contract specific plans and specifications
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistics, and fundamentals geometry
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
