Job Summary
Construction Superintendent responsible for directing all on-site jail project activities, coordinating subcontractors, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance, maintaining schedule and budget, overseeing quality control, and communicating with owner representatives and correctional agency personnel. The role covers field leadership, coordination of field staff and subcontractors, adherence to correctional security standards, documentation of daily progress, and ensuring compliance with applicable codes and project specifications on the Manhattan Jail Project in New York.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience as a Superintendent in commercial or institutional construction (correctional facilities preferred).
- Strong knowledge of structural, architectural, mechanical, and electrical systems.
- Experience managing complex, secure, or high-risk construction environments.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and schedules.
- Excellent leadership, teamwork, and communication skills.
- Strong understanding of OSHA safety regulations.
- Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, PlanGrid, Bluebeam).
- High School Diploma required.
