Job Summary
Supervise and monitor contractors and subcontractors to ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and quality standards. Conduct regular inspections of construction activities, materials, and workmanship against contract requirements and safety regulations. Coordinate with project managers, engineers, architects, and clients to resolve quality or safety issues and lead preparatory, initial, and follow-up phase meetings. Maintain detailed records of daily reports, inspection reports, and quality control documentation while ensuring permits and inspection certificates are obtained. Prepare and submit progress, quality, and safety reports to stakeholders and enforce the use of personal protective equipment on-site. Report safety incidents and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences. Provide training to on-site personnel on quality control procedures and safety protocols. Collaborate with stakeholders to communicate changes from the project plan and ensure proper documentation. Manage multiple tasks simultaneously while adhering to Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and agency-specific regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Must be either a citizen of the U.S. or a non-U.S. citizen who has been lawfully admitted for permanent residence as evidenced by a Permanent Resident Card (USCIS I-551)
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to travel to various construction sites located in Colorado (50-75% traveling)
- Ability to lift 50 pounds, stand or sit for long periods of time, access roofs, crawl spaces and all construction areas
- Successful prior track record as a Superintendent on Federal government projects for a minimum of five (5) years
- Experience executing Quality Control Plans that align with Government Quality Assurance Surveillance Plans and Performance Measures
- Experience with writing, developing or modifying company and/or site-specific safety programs
- Strong leadership and team management skills, including problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
- Proficiency in construction management software
- Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills
- In-depth knowledge of construction processes, materials and legal regulations
- Understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and agency specific regulations, including the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFAR)
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Competent with MS Office products (i.e., Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to meet project deadlines
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering or a related field is preferred
- OSHA 30, EM 385-1-1(preferred), USACE CQM(preferred) certification and CPR/1st Aid certification
