Job Summary
Superintendent is responsible for supervision of construction projects, ensuring successful project completion across various locations. Key responsibilities include maintaining safety standards, managing project schedules, coordinating field construction teams, verifying subcontractor compliance, and preparing essential project reports. Ideal candidate will possess an Engineering, Construction Management or Architectural degree, or equivalent experience with a strong background in field construction, and hold Safety Trained Supervisor Certification. A deep understanding of job scheduling, quality control, and OSHA regulations is required.
Required Qualifications
- Engineering, Construction Management or Architectural degree, or equivalent experience (4 years as Assistant Superintendent)
- Extensive field construction experience at supervisory level
- Prior experience as foreman or journeyman in at least one trade or project engineer
Desired Qualifications
- Current Safety Trained Supervisor (STS) Certification or ability to achieve within six months
- Proficiency in job scheduling, planning, expediting and cost control
- Working knowledge of OSHA laws
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Ability to read and understand specifications for all trades
