Job Summary
Oversee grading, excavation, and site development projects by leading multiple Foremen and crews while ensuring OSHA/MSHA compliance and safety standards. Manage project schedules, manpower, equipment, and materials, and coordinate with engineers to maintain accurate timelines and layouts. Conduct random jobsite inspections, perform erosion control measures, and review billing documentation, timesheets, and fuel logs. Operate heavy equipment as needed and maintain organized project files including change orders and production records. Maintain professional communication with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams while managing vehicle maintenance and expense reconciliations. Assist with recruiting, onboarding, and training field personnel to support production schedules across active jobsites throughout the Southeast.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Superintendent in heavy civil construction, grading, mining, earthwork, or site development
- Experience managing multiple projects and crews simultaneously
- Strong understanding of grading operations, excavation, utility installation, road construction, and site preparation
- Knowledge of OSHA and MSHA regulations and safety compliance standards
- Experience coordinating schedules, manpower, materials, and equipment logistics
- Ability to read and interpret engineered plans, construction drawings, and project specifications
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to build and maintain strong client and team relationships
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record acceptable to company insurance requirements
- Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug screenings
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to lift, move, and manage heavy materials or equipment as needed
- Willingness to travel to project sites throughout the Southeast as required
- Ability to maintain organized project documentation and reports
