Job Summary
Oversee and document all day-to-day job site activities, including OSHA safety compliance, subcontractor performance, and material deliveries. Direct field personnel according to the project plan, establish and maintain the Project Baseline Schedule, and communicate daily progress and issues to the Project Manager. Lead safety pre-construction meetings, conduct site inspections using predictive software, and manage project closeout activities such as punch lists and utility transfers. This role requires a Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of construction experience, with applicable area licenses. Based in Suffolk's network of 17 offices, the Superintendent supports complex projects across healthcare, life sciences, and commercial sectors.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in applicable discipline
- 4+ years of experience in related construction fields
- Applicable area licenses
- Must possess effective communication skills
- Must possess business judgment to negotiate the critical balance between budget and construction processes
- Must have judgment to know when to appropriately escalate issues up the chain of command
