Job Summary
Oversee and document all day-to-day job site activities, including OSHA safety compliance, subcontractor performance, and quality inspections. Direct field personnel according to the project plan, establish the Project Baseline Schedule, and manage site pre-construction and mobilization. Communicate daily progress, issues, and performance to the Project Manager, while attending turnover, safety, and coordination meetings. Ensure all subcontractors adhere to safety protocols, hold pre-construction meetings, and maintain required insurance and documentation. Manage project closeout, transfer of utilities, and punch lists, ensuring all work meets client expectations and Suffolk standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in applicable discipline
- 4+ years of experience in related construction fields
- Applicable area licenses
- Must possess effective communication skills
- Must possess business judgment to negotiate the critical balance between budget and construction processes
- Must have judgment to know when to appropriately escalate issues up the chain of command
