Job Summary
Superintendent responsible for on-site management of utility construction projects in Temple Hills, MD. Oversees field operations, manages subcontractors, coordinates with project managers and clients, and ensures safety, quality, and adherence to schedules and budgets. Duties include conducting site inspections, enforcing OSHA and company safety policies, coordinating material deliveries, maintaining project records, and using construction management software (e.g., Procore) to monitor progress and costs. Requires experience with underground utility projects (water, sewer, gas, electrical), ability to read drawings and specifications, and strong leadership to supervise field crews and subcontractors.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent in utility construction
- Proven experience in managing underground utility projects (water, sewer, gas, electrical)
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and equipment
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Proficient in using construction management software (e.g., Procore)
- Strong understanding of OSHA safety regulations
- Valid driver’s license
