Job Summary
Superintendent role leading day-to-day site operations on high- and mid-rise Calgary projects. Oversee trades/subcontractors, coordinate logistics, manage schedules, ensure safety and quality, and partner with Project Managers to resolve issues and provide updates. Represent the company on-site and build strong client and consultant relationships while delivering projects safely, on time, and to specification.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in a Superintendent role on high- or mid-rise projects
- Strong technical knowledge of concrete, building systems, and construction methods
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage crews
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
- Solid understanding of construction safety standards and procedures
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders while keeping projects on track
- Lead day-to-day site operations on high- and mid-rise projects
- Supervise and coordinate subcontractors, trades, and site staff
- Manage schedules, manpower, and equipment to ensure workflow and deadlines
- Enforce and champion site safety and compliance
- Work closely with Project Managers to track progress, resolve issues, and provide updates
- Ensure quality control and adherence to project specifications
- Represent the company on-site, maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants, and trades
