Job Summary
Oversee all day-to-day field operations from groundbreaking through project closeout, supervising subcontractors and coordinating daily jobsite activities to maintain production and milestones. Develop project schedules in coordination with the Project Manager, conduct daily safety meetings, and perform quality control inspections while ensuring work adheres to plans and specifications. Coordinate material deliveries, manage site logistics, and resolve field issues proactively. Maintain daily reports, photo documentation, and three-week look-ahead schedules, communicating regularly with the Project Manager regarding schedule, manpower, and procurement. Build positive relationships with clients, architects, inspectors, and subcontractors while ensuring clean, organized, and professional jobsites. Lead by example and hold teams accountable while maintaining collaborative working relationships.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of Superintendent experience with a Commercial General Contractor
- Strong experience leading ground-up commercial construction projects
- Ability to manage multiple trades and maintain aggressive construction schedules
- Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, scheduling and quality control
- Thorough understanding of OSHA safety requirements
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Experience conducting owner, architect and subcontractor meetings
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Must be able to travel regularly to active construction sites
- Must be able to walk active jobsites
- Must be able to climb stairs and ladders as necessary
- Must be able to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with demolition, excavation and site development
- Experience with Procore
- Stable work history with long-term employers
