Job Summary
Plan, organize, and oversee solar construction operations for utility-scale projects, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and project specifications. Manage and lead construction crews, equipment, and subcontractors to meet project goals and deadlines. Collaborate with engineering teams to interpret geotechnical data, select drilling methods, and optimize foundation designs. Develop construction schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans while monitoring progress. Conduct site inspections to assess soil conditions and quality control, and enforce safety protocols through regular meetings and training. Resolve technical issues and troubleshoot equipment problems to ensure smooth project execution. Prepare reports and documentation for stakeholders. Full-time on-site role in Peoria, IL.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- 4 years of related experience
- Proficiency in MS Office including Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Deep understanding of geotechnical engineering principles and soil mechanics
- Strong project management skills, including planning, budgeting, and resource management
- Knowledge of drilling equipment, tools, and maintenance procedures
- Familiarity with safety regulations and industry best practices
- Problem-solving and decision-making abilities in a dynamic construction environment
- Grouting knowledge and experience
- Project Construction industry experience
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications
- Proficiency in basic computer software and project management tools
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to safety and knowledge of OSHA regulations
- Certifications such as OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety or relevant state licensure
- Relevant certifications in foundation drilling or construction management
