Job Summary
Supervise field staff, carpenters, laborers, and subcontractors to ensure projects are built according to plans and specifications. Monitor work performance, direct subcontractors, and schedule activities to meet project timelines. Manage jobsite logistics by ensuring materials, tools, equipment, and information are available in a timely fashion. Handle all correspondence and forms required by the office, including daily reports, time sheets, and safety reports. Conduct site audits to verify standards and assist teams with complex quality control and pre-punch walk issues. Train and coach Superintendents at all levels to meet administrative and organizational standards.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Years of experience as superintendent on commercial interior, retail or building renovation projects
- Exemplary performance in all project safety related categories
- Ability to audit jobsites during site walks to ensure standards are being met
- Ability to assist teams with complex and specialty quality control issues
- Ability to assist teams with pre-punch walks to identify quality trends and ensure smooth/timely punch list process
- Ability to set the example of 'do and teach' by training and coaching Superintendents at all levels to meet rand*'s high standards of administration and organization
- Full-time role based in Salt Lake City, UT
Desired Qualifications
- Two years of college
- Years of experience as lead superintendent on commercial interior, retail, or building renovation projects
- Proven track record of independent judgment and decision-making when faced with matters of executive or non-routine nature
- Ability to anticipate and be proactive
- Ability to deal professionally and diplomatically with individuals at all levels
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve highly complex project-related issues with all levels of team members
- Ability to manage deadlines, deliver as needed
- Ability to prioritize multiple assignments with a strong attention to detail
