Job Summary
Provide overall field supervision for daily construction operations on a federal project replacing high-pressure steam condensate mains and secondary return piping. Manage all Quality Control requirements, coordinate subcontractor schedules and activities, and conduct inspections, testing coordination, and corrective actions. Ensure compliance with contract documents, federal quality standards, and OSHA safety protocols while maintaining daily reports and project documentation. Partner directly with Government representatives regarding progress and quality. Work Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM for 40 hours weekly as a 1099 contractor earning $63/hr plus per diem and completion bonus. Requires USACE CQCM certification and prior federal construction experience.
Required Qualifications
- Current USACE Construction Quality Management (CQCM/CQM-C) Certification
- OSHA 30 Construction Certification
- Prior NAVFAC, USACE, DoD, or other federal construction experience
- Experience serving as a Superintendent and/or Quality Control Manager on federal construction projects
- Strong knowledge of federal construction documentation and quality control requirements
- Experience managing subcontractors, project scheduling, inspections, and testing coordination
- Experience working in occupied facility renovation environments
- Must be capable of obtaining and maintaining military base access (DBIDS), if required
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with underground utility or steam distribution projects
- Mechanical piping or industrial utility construction experience
- Experience coordinating directly with Government representatives
- Construction management or engineering degree
- EM 385-1-1 knowledge or experience
