Job Summary
Plan work methods, materials, equipment needs, and daily schedules for assigned projects while reviewing monthly forecasts to mitigate production issues. Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and utility companies to ensure proper equipment and material quantities meet budget and schedule targets. Supervise subcontractor production and workforce, identifying hazardous areas and enforcing strict safety protocols regarding equipment operation and documentation. Provide technical input to resolve project risks related to construction methods, work plans, and material requirements. Forecast schedules to identify potential issues and recommend adjustments to maintain adherence to contract drawings and specifications.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of heavy civil construction experience
- 7+ years construction management experience
- Valid Driver's License
- Strong written, verbal and presentation communication skills
- Strong leadership capability with internal drive to mentor and grow internal talent
- Proven ability to manage difficult schedules and project demands while maintaining strict adherence to project safety program
- Advanced knowledge of construction site equipment operation and maintenance requirements
- Advanced knowledge of construction site safety protocols and proven ability to enforce project safety programs
- Knowledge and understanding of local union or prevailing wage rules
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret standards and contract specific plans and specifications
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistics, and fundamentals geometry
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree a plus
- Safety Trained Supervisor (STS) certification preferred
