Job Summary
Manage daily construction operations on civil projects across the DMV, developing work plans, sequencing, and logistics while coordinating labor, equipment, and materials. Lead field crews and subcontractors to meet productivity targets, interpreting plans and specifications to ensure proper execution. Champion a safety-first culture by conducting daily meetings, job hazard analyses, and site inspections to enforce OSHA compliance and mitigate risks. Collaborate with Project Managers to maintain schedules, monitor progress, and adjust resources to address delays. Ensure all work meets quality standards through inspections, testing, and accurate field documentation. Serve as the primary field contact for owners, engineers, and public agencies.
Required Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of heavy civil construction methods, sequencing, and logistics
- Proficiency in cost-control systems and construction-management software
- Deep understanding of public contracts, specifications, and compliance requirements
- Experience working on public contracts (1-3 years)
- Experience with creating/managing schedules (1-3 years)
- Ability to lead multiple complex projects simultaneously
