Job Summary
Superintendent overseeing field operations on construction projects in Los Angeles and Orange Counties. Responsibilities include promoting safety per OSHA requirements, conducting safety meetings and stand-downs, approving safety documentation, producing and reviewing JHAs, coordinating with subcontractors, reviewing RFIs and submittals, ensuring design documents comply with codes/ADA, leading field coordination meetings, generating daily project reports, managing hoisting/crane plans and logistics, coordinating procurement with the project schedule, identifying long-lead items, understanding construction sequencing, leading BIM/VDC coordination meetings, and ensuring life-safety testing. Requires the ability to communicate project progress to the team, manage subcontractor concerns, and work with the project manager to achieve on-site project success. Proficiency in construction scheduling, reading drawings, and using tools like P6, Bluebeam, and Autodesk Build is expected. Travel to project locations within LA and OC is required.
Required Qualifications
- OSHA 10 or 30 Certification is required
- Degree in Construction Management or a related field is preferred
- 2-7 years minimum of experience in a Construction Superintendent role or equivalent
- Experience on higher education and/or healthcare construction projects is highly preferred
- Experience on large commercial construction projects is preferred
- Proficiency with P6, Bluebeam, and Autodesk Build
