Superintendent of Public Service

Superintendent of Public Service in the City of Beavercreek, OH. Responsible for administrative, technical, and supervisory management of the Public Service Division within the Department of Public Services. Plans, directs, and coordinates activities, personnel, and resources; manages the division’s daily operations; collaborates with City officials and unions; oversees budgeting and performance tracking, including capital budgets and department budgets; negotiates and administers labor contracts and grievances; supervises staff and prepares division correspondence. Requires thorough knowledge of public works operations, safety practices, and union contract provisions; ability to coordinate with City officials and other departments; reports to the Public Services Director and may work non-standard hours. The primary work site is the Municipal Maintenance Facility with potential locations throughout the City of Beavercreek. Additional responsibilities include maintaining current knowledge of trends in the field, overseeing purchasing activities, generating reports, and ensuring compliance with city policies and labor contracts. Desirable training and experience include a Bachelor’s degree and seven years of related experience with leadership responsibilities; valid Ohio driver’s license is required.
