Job Summary
Oversee field operations for commercial construction projects by coordinating subcontractors, enforcing safety standards, and ensuring work aligns with plans, specs, and schedule requirements. Establish field priorities, develop execution strategies, and maintain look-ahead schedules while managing craft labor, vendors, and material deliveries. Direct day-to-day site activities, conduct quality inspections, audit subcontractor pay applications, and maintain accurate documentation including daily reports and change notices. Lead site meetings to share progress updates with owners and stakeholders, ensuring full compliance with environmental standards and project timelines. Based in Northern Michigan, this role requires a strong background in construction sequencing and project management software proficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution (preferred)
- Proven ability to independently manage multiple projects and tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational and process development skills, with a track record of implementing effective procedures and workflows
- Solid understanding of construction and engineering operations, with the flexibility to adapt to evolving tools and methodologies
- Proficiency in data automation tools, project management software, and standard business applications (e.g., Microsoft Office, Excel, and other data management programs)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across diverse teams and interact effectively at all organizational levels
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
