Job Summary
Lead and coordinate all daily construction activities on-site for multi-family affordable housing projects, managing subcontractors and suppliers to ensure efficient execution. Proactively plan three to six weeks ahead to identify scheduling challenges, coordinate material deliveries, and maintain production milestones. Conduct daily quality control inspections covering framing, waterproofing systems, MEP rough-ins, and fire-life-safety requirements while enforcing OSHA compliance through regular toolbox meetings. Coordinate inspections with city agencies, stakeholders, and third-party consultants, utilizing construction management technology platforms for daily reporting and scheduling coordination. Partner closely with Project Managers and office leadership to ensure successful project delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent on high-density, vertical multi-family construction projects
- Experience with Type III and Type V wood-frame construction, podium projects, and/or slab-on-grade developments
- Proven ability to manage complex project logistics, including tight job sites, crane operations, and overlapping trade activities
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing and schedule management
- Advanced ability to read and interpret: Architectural drawings, Structural plans, MEP schematics, Civil and grading plans
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage subcontractors and maintain jobsite accountability
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with field and office teams
- Proficiency with construction technology platforms such as Procore, PlanGrid, or similar software
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working on affordable housing developments
- Familiarity with municipal inspections, green building requirements, and agency compliance processes
- OSHA certification and additional safety training credentials
