Job Summary
Monitor production requirements and review daily reports to ensure schedules meet delivery targets. Manage supervisors on shift operations, quality, and welding while serving as a liaison between departments. Prioritize projects to satisfy customer demands and champion initiatives that foster employee ownership. Oversee quality efforts, address emerging customer issues, and hold regular reviews with supervisors to align manufacturing, engineering, maintenance, and quality with business strategies. Continually improve safety records by addressing physical and attitudinal issues, maintain housekeeping, and manage union relations to resolve management-bargaining unit conflicts. Control spending against the budget while adapting to production volume changes.
Required Qualifications
- automotive background
- Minimum of an Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
- 5+ years of manufacturing supervision/management experience
- equivalent combination of education and experience
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Proficient with PowerPoint
- Proficient with an ERP production management and inventory control system
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, Company management and/or members of the business community
- Ability to effectively present information to management, employees and customers in written or oral form, either in a formal or informal manner
