Job Summary
Lead concrete flatwork crews by assigning duties, monitoring tasks, and evaluating performance to ensure work meets safety, schedule, and budget targets. Execute plans efficiently while coordinating with Project Managers and Estimators to organize daily labor, mobilization, and equipment needs. Perform laying-out, forming, reinforcement, and finishing of concrete projects; maintain equipment through routine inspections and repairs. Plan safe project sites adhering to OSHA standards and solve problems as they arise to keep others on task. Travel throughout the Midwest for active civil construction sites including roads, bridges, and infrastructure. Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Three (3) plus years of experience as a Concrete Finisher
- Three (3) plus years of experience as a Concrete Form Setter
- Proficient in use of construction tools
- Experienced in operating mini-excavators and skid steers and pouring concrete
- Must have the ability to oversee site work and projects
- Valid driver's license and clean driving history
- Ability to lift 50 lbs-100lbs
- Ability to make important decisions under pressure
- Problem-solving skills
- Ability to delegate effectively
- Excellent time management skills
- Detail oriented, reliable, and punctual
- Strong work ethic
- Ability to demonstrate strong leadership skills and punctuality
- Good communication skills and ability to work and lead a crew
- Ability to travel throughout Midwest for projects as needed
