Job Summary
Execute project plans, oversee quality testing and safety measures, and manage field staff, contractors, and tradespeople to ensure projects meet approved plans, specifications, and building codes. Monitor short-term construction schedules, estimate durations for multi-discipline activities, and coordinate resources while directing craft employees and subcontractors regarding safety, schedule, and quality expectations. Prepare purchase requisitions and review subtrade/supplier invoices. This site position requires traveling up to 100% of the time and involves physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds and working in all weather conditions. Located in the Louisville, KY market.
Required Qualifications
- Two to five years of construction experience as a foreman, lead hand, or in a similar supervisory role
- Knowledge of underground fiber instillation methods (Plow and Horizontal Directional Drill, HDD)
- Two-year college, trade or technical diploma
- Understanding of current construction practices, documents, costs, and budgets
- Ability to plan and manage project schedules, developing solutions for moderate situations within defined guidelines
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders while building and managing a diverse team
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Able to meet the physical requirements of the position which involves sitting, standing, bending, climbing, lifting (up to 50 pounds), working at heights, and in all types of weather conditions (rain, snow, heat etc.)
- This is a site position in the Louisville, KY market
