Job Summary
Oversee on-site construction projects in Columbus, OH, ensuring safety, quality, timely execution, and profitability. Lead a team of construction professionals, coordinate with clients, A/E representatives, trade contractors, and inspectors, manage manpower and equipment, support schedule development, conformance management, and budget control, supervise craft employees/subcontractors, resolve field issues, and enforce project procedures and safety programs. Key duties include facilitating RFIs/submittals, cost control, job costing, and performance evaluations, while maintaining strong communication across stakeholders and ensuring compliance with safety standards and contracts.
Required Qualifications
- 4-year higher educational degree or equivalent commercial/industrial construction experience
- 1-5 years of construction management and/or craft supervision experience in commercial/industrial construction
- Ability to control and supervise large teams
- Knowledge of construction technology, equipment, and methods
- Experience in craft agreements, jurisdiction, negotiations, engineering, cost control schedules and safety required
- Exceptional communication, organizational, and supervisory skills
- Strong handle on job costing, scheduling, quality control and safety requirements
- Has the ability to create a safety culture that everyone follows
