Job Summary
Manage and oversee residential construction operations for assigned homes, phases, or communities, maintaining accountability for schedule, quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. Direct and supervise trade partners and subcontractors, holding them accountable for performance and adherence to scopes of work. Inspect and approve completed work to ensure compliance with construction documents, company standards, and applicable building codes. Enforce OSHA requirements and coordinate municipal inspections to obtain Certificates of Occupancy. Proactively monitor construction progress, anticipate risks, and adjust sequencing to maintain production targets. Own the accuracy of jobsite documentation and lead homeowner orientations to resolve construction-related issues. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant residential construction or field management experience at a Superintendent level
- Working knowledge of residential construction methods and sequencing
- Ability to manage trade partners and coordinate multiple workstreams
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of construction safety practices and jobsite compliance
- Ability to interpret construction plans and specifications
- Time management and organizational skills
- Ability to influence team members through facts, policies, and best practices
- Ability to communicate and interact with customers effectively
- Self-motivated and possess strong work ethic
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods on construction sites
- Ability to climb stairs, ladders, and navigate uneven terrain
- Ability to bend, kneel, and reach during inspections
- Ability to lift and carry materials up to 25 pounds occasionally
- Ability to visually inspect construction work and site conditions
- Local travel between job sites and communities is expected
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field
- 6-8 years of equivalent experience
- Experience managing multiple homes or production schedules simultaneously
