Job Summary
The Superintendent I at Mortenson oversees the planning, coordinating, and supervising of construction activities, craftsmen, and contractors, ensuring project schedules and quality standards are met. Responsibilities include developing project schedules, conducting orientations and planning sessions, supervising teams, tracking work progress, managing safety and compliance, and fostering customer relationships. The role demands strong leadership, mentoring abilities, and effective communication skills to manage diverse team members and complex projects.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil, or Architectural Engineering, Construction Management, or 10 years trade experience
- Minimum 5 years construction management or related experience
- Current driver’s license
- Ability to fulfill responsibilities for multiple, complex projects
- Ability to travel up to 100%
