Job Summary
Manage preconstruction processes, develop proposal strategies, and oversee daily jobsite activities including safety programs, subcontractor scheduling, and material deliveries. Ensure employee safety, report accidents, and notify leadership of labor and material needs while maintaining accurate cost records and daily job reports. Review shop drawings, maintain record set drawings, track city inspections, and complete punch list items. Mentor assistant superintendents and project managers, manage tool maintenance, and build client relations. Perform weekly cost reviews and ensure project team participation in assigned training. Requires 7+ years of commercial construction experience with OSHA 30 certification and willingness to travel.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must have experience supervising numerous commercial projects
- 7 years of relevant experience in commercial construction
- Must have experience with higher education, K-12, and healthcare projects
- Must have experience with projects size: +$50M (CMAR)
- Familiarity with the preconstruction process of a Construction Manager at Risk contract
- Must have OSHA 30 certification
- Willing to Travel
Desired Qualifications
- 10+ years preferred
- Preferred previous project experience in a higher ed school system within the State of Texas
- Some college experience with drafting, surveying, Total Station, or CAD a plus
- Confine Space Awareness certification preferred
- Defensive Driving certification preferred
- First Aid/CPR/AED certifications preferred
