Job Summary
Supervise all aspects of civil construction operations, ensuring compliance with approved plans, specifications, and company standards while optimizing labor and material efficiency. Enforce site safety protocols that meet or exceed corporate, client, and regulatory requirements, and monitor production to align with project schedules and cost objectives. Hire and manage hourly field staff, review supplier invoices for accuracy, and lead planning meetings to ensure equipment readiness. Prepare field change orders with client representatives as needed and troubleshoot issues to drive productive work methods. This role requires a non-traditional schedule including nights and weekends, with travel to various sites across North America. Ledcor Heavy Civil supports the full lifespan of mine projects, from facility construction to reclamation.
Required Qualifications
- 5–10 years of experience in a supervisory role within heavy civil construction, with a strong focus on earthworks
- Proven ability to manage project schedules and adapt to changing site conditions
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify solutions to complex challenges
- Effective communicator who can tailor messaging to various stakeholders
- Collaborative leader who fosters teamwork and consensus
- Willingness to travel and remain on-site for the duration of projects
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position which involves sitting, standing, bending, climbing, lifting (up to 75 pounds), working at heights, in confined spaces and in all types of weather conditions (rain, snow, heat etc.)
- Ability to work a non-traditional schedule that could include nights and weekends
