Job Summary
Heavy Civil Superintendent responsible for directing on-site project personnel and implementing the Construction Management Plan and Safety Program. Lead site operations, materials handling, resource allocation, and daily scheduling; supervise staff to ensure safety and regulatory compliance; collaborate with project managers, contractors, and regulatory agencies to develop and execute construction plans; conduct site inspections and maintain detailed daily logs; drive timely corrective actions and risk mitigation to maintain project integrity and safety. Strong leadership, problem-solving, and proactive issue resolution are essential to ensuring projects run smoothly and safely. Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in heavy civil project management or construction operations
- Minimum 3-5 years of supervisory or management experience in construction operations
- Ability to read, interpret, and implement project plans and construction strategies
- Proficiency in MS Office and an aptitude for learning various project management and reporting systems
- Strong communication and coordination skills with other disciplines, subcontractors, and field crews
- Certification or equivalent in relevant construction management or safety practices is an asset
