Job Summary
Commercial Construction Superintendent leading on-site project execution in the Greater Sarasota area. Responsible for liaising with subcontractors, architects, and engineers; developing and enforcing project schedules with critical-path focus; supervising Curran Young field staff; upholding ethics and safety programs; managing scheduling, delivery, logistics, quality control, and staffing; coordinating trades to optimize operations; ensuring permits and inspections are current; providing percent-complete status for billing and monthly estimates; and ensuring work conforms to contract documents.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 4 years related training and at least 8 years of building construction experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience
- Working knowledge of construction management software PROCORE is strongly preferred
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of the documents, drawings, specifications, construction means, methods and materials
- Knowledge of construction cost control and basic accounting procedures
- Computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite programs
- Strong management, leadership and interpersonal skills with strong verbal and written communication
- Drug test and background check as part of employment
- Deadline and detail-oriented
