Job Summary
The Project Superintendent will lead on-site construction activities to drive project progress, enforce safety standards, and ensure delivery on time and within budget. Responsibilities include coordinating scheduling, budgeting support, subcontractor management, field operations, safety program enforcement, material/equipment/labor delivery, and maintaining client/subcontractor/vendor/architect/engineer relationships. Lead the development and maintenance of project schedules (CPM), monitor progress, identify risks to schedule/cost/quality, interpret design documents for constructability and cost efficiencies, ensure compliance with contracts and regulations, participate in client meetings and design reviews, support documentation/ submittals and reporting, and provide leadership to field staff. Requires minimum 5+ years of construction experience (prefer healthcare/hospital projects), a Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience, strong leadership and communication skills, proficiency with construction software, and the ability to manage multiple trades and adapt to changing priorities. Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5+ years of relevant construction experience in a superintendent or similar role
- Experience in healthcare or hospital construction
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
- Proven ability to lead teams and manage multiple trades/disciplines simultaneously
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, engineering principles, and building codes
- Demonstrated problem-solving ability with strong decision-making skills in fast-paced environments
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with construction-related software and general computer applications
- Ability to manage changing priorities and work flexible schedules as project demands require
- Capable of serving as the primary on-site leader with full ownership of project phases and execution
- Strong technical understanding of construction processes and ability to support field operations
